Why do people think it's so hard to get full eating raw foods? The fact is, it doesn't take as much to fill me up now because what I am eating is full of living vital nutrients. The enzymes are still in tact so my body gets the full benefit from what I am consuming. I don't have "hunger pains" like I did before I started eating raw foods. When I eat now (and I'm not hungry) I automatically run through what is going on with me emotionally. Food is definitely something I use to comfort myself. The good thing about the food I'm eating now is that it will not have a detrimental affect on my body like ice-cream, cookies or my former all time favorite cheese, crackers and duck salami or some other meat. And I usually can't eat a lot of what I'm trying to because my body doesn't want it. Now, I reach for a banana or a mango or a cucumber or some celery... you get the picture.
Another thing I'm ALWAYS asked about is "What about your protein?" What about it... where do you think animals get their protein from... the plants (grass) they eat. Why not go to the source to get your protein instead of eating the flesh of animal. Our bodies are a complex creation made to create EVERYTHING we need in order for it to function properly. But you have to put living food in your body for this to happen. If you keep eating dead things your body is going to manifest death in the form of illness and disease. I believe that diseases are NOT hereditary. The reason you keep seeing the same diseases from one generation to the next is because of the lifestyle that is passed from one generation to the next. You are eating the same diet, probably dealing with some of the same emotional issues and operating in the same environment as your parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. If you do the same thing those before you did, you will get the same results.
So today I had a fruit smoothie with a tablespoon of Ultra Greens powder. I used some frozen fruit that I bought fresh then cut up and put in the freezer. Pineapples, strawberries, a few blueberries, one banana and some fresh squeezed orange that I juiced myself. I ate a raw granola bar later but my body wasn't digging that today. I drank my filtered water from my glass bottle... still got one more bottle to drink. Today I made another discovery with a salad using raw mustard greens (the curly kind that looks like kale). How many of you know that mustard greens are little spicy? Yes, they have a little bite to them. You know that hot flash you get when you eat wasabi? That's the spicy I'm talking about. If I had cooked them, I would've never made that discovery. There is one draw back for me personally eating a raw diet... my freakin' libido is through the roof! I need to join a fitness club and start exercise to burn up some of this energy. Until next time, stay healthy and wealthy!
